Fire causes road closures near Pleasanton

PLEASANTON, Calif. (KRON) — A wildfire near Pleasanton has caused Foothill Road between Bernal Avenue and Castlewood Drive to close Thursday afternoon, police announced on Twitter. Residents are advised to plan alternate routes around the road closures.

Crews are currently responding to this fire, which is reported to be 10-15 acres. According to Cal Fire, one building is involved in this brush/structure fire.

The tweet announcing the traffic alert due to the fire was sent at 2:17 p.m. No other information was immediately available.
